Shipping took a little longer than I would've liked, but really if you can wait a couple days, it may well be worth it. It lifts up a little higher than other toasters to make taking it out easier. Its a toaster, it toasts. That's good in my book. my the evolution of toasters.
old 2 sliced toaster since it's become inconsistent.I finally settled on this unit after looking at units from $10 to $130 based on functions and price. The toast setting is lighted which took some getting used to but is a welcome addition now that I've owned it for a while. For a while now, I've been looking for a replacement for my simple 10 yr. The Cuisinart toasts standard store bought bread perfectly on a setting of "3" and bagels come out perfectly when selecting the "bagel" button.
This one had the best ratings of any, so I purchased it.So far (about a month into using it), it has performed as I would expect a simple device to work: it does its job. After searching for a U.S.-made toaster at a reasonable price (there don't seem to be any at ANY price), I scoured the reviews of various makes. The only thing that bothers me is that the toaster is rather light-weight, and pressing on the "cancel" button sometimes requires using enough force to necessitate placing the other hand behind the toaster to keep it from slipping.
Bread toasts uneven. Good price but old fashioned toasters work better. top part of toast is mushy like its micro waved.need to turn over and put in twice.gosh is it so hard to make something so simple as a toaster work right.
The toaster toasts it to perfection. I love this toaster. So, I purchased the Cuisinart. I use whole wheat toast. I was in the market for a toaster and wanted a white one. I was going to get a cheapy but I got a gift certificate from Amazon for Mother's Day. It does everything I wanted it to do.
